The tourism-driven Lake Tahoe area is inching toward reopening. Or, at least parts of it. On Tuesday, Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak gave casinos in the state permission to reopen on June 4. In 1944 Harvey Gross opened Harvey's Wagon Wheel Saloon and Gambling Hall on the south shore of Lake Tahoe. It was more of a restaurant with a few slots than the casinos America knows today.
